Who will win the 2nd ODI between India and England?

 

The 2nd match of the 3-match ODI series between India and England will be played on 9th February 2025. The match will be played at Barabti Stadium, Cuttack. It will be a day and night game.

It is expected to be a close contest as England will look to bounce back after a dismal show in the first ODI whereas India will look to continue their home dominance and wrap up the series.

India is leading the series 1-0 after a solid performance both with bat and ball in the 1st ODI played on 6th February 2024.

Recap of 1st ODI

In the 1st ODI India gave a solid performance and won the match by 4 wickets. Shubman Gill was the star of the show as he scored 87 runs off just 96 balls and led the foundation of the chase. In bowling, Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers and he got 3 wickets for just 26 runs. From England's side captain Joss Buttler scored 52 runs.

The 2nd ODI between India and England is scheduled to be played at Barabati Stadium Cuttack which is usually known for high scoring games.

The pitch usually plays a balanced hand for both batters and bowlers and it is expected to provide good assistance to spinners but the fast bowlers can also extract bounce from the surface.
